Obituary of Diane L. Hodgson

Diane (Reinold) Hodgson of Woburn, passed away suddenly on August 1st 2024 one day after her 62nd birthday. Diane was a 1980 graduate of Winchester High School after spending most of her early youth in North Reading. Diane enjoyed working in early childhood education and childcare for a number of years before transitioning to becoming a home health aide. Particularly satisfying was one on one care with elderly clients who were often in the last years of their lives. This was very gratifying work for her as she was always a sensitive and kindhearted person. Diane is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Warren Hodgson. They have been in love for 38 years. Diane delighted in the many simple pleasures of life such as long walks with her love on many of the North Shore beaches. Those times almost always concluded at one of their favorite seafood restaurants. She also enjoyed exploring the beautiful scenic places in New England with Warren from climbing Mount Monadnock, antiquing in Vermont, visiting Acadia National Park and many more places in between. Some favorite spots were Lanes Cove in Gloucester and Halibut Point in Rockport. Diane was the daughter of the late Arthur William Reinold and the late Carol Ann (Smith) Reinold. Diane was preceded in Death by her brother Arthur W. Reinold II and her brother Scott Reinold. Diane is survived by her sister Cheryl Steel and her husband David of Ringe, NH and her younger brother Alex Reinold. Diane is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Although Diane, like most girls, adored flowers she was fond of trying to do nice things for others who needed a boost or just needed a friend so at this sad time she would have liked nothing more than her friends and loved ones to take a moment and try to lift someone spirits or help someone in need. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend a service held at the Arthur P. Graham Funeral Home at 3 Arlington, Road, Woburn on Wednesday, August 14th at 10:00 am, followed by prayer, and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
