Dear Scott & family
Sending my heartfelt sympathy to all of Sonja’s family. We were friends from our Woburn National days. We started there back in 1955 and have been friends ever since. She was such a wonderful person. Always put others first. I will miss her everyday and my visits to her New Hampshire home .I always told her she was the “Hostess with the Mostest”I will always remember.” Love Maryann Smith WNB

Very sad to learn of Sonja’s passing. Sonja grew up with my mom, I met her when working at Woburn National Bank while in high school and I went to school with Lori. Typical Woburn story! May your happy memories console you at this time of loss

This picture was taken on August 23, 2020. This was one of our many trips in August to hike up the Great Gulf of Wilderness trail on Mt. Madison. We would hike to a location that Kurt Carlson (Sonja's deceased son loved). The family has been doing this pilgrimage since Kurt's death in 1992. Sonja stopped hiking up the mountain many years ago, but she still came along and had fun with all of us. Pictured here is (left to right) Kristina Carlson, Sonja Carlson, Natalie Gilian, Jared Carlson, Scott Carlson and Merri Carlson. We always throw yellow roses , from the bridge, in memory of those that have left us, Kurt Carlson, Norman Carlson, Lori Carlson. This year we will throw roses in memory of Sonja.

Sonja and I were Blueberry Picking Buddies. We have been picking blueberries since my children were small. We always finished our picking, even in the morning hours, with ice cream. Our reward for picking in the early morning warmth of the sun. When we started picking, the farm had an ice cream stand. Eventually, we went to another farm, in recent years, and they didn't have an ice cream stand. However, that didn't stop us. After picking, I introduced Sonja to frozen coffees at Dunkin Donuts with a Mocha Swirl and Whip Cream. She loved it! I will miss you this year when I go to pick blueberries. Love you Sonja! This picture was taken in July of 2019. Merri Carlson
