I met Marty through the Boston Public Schools. I was a headmaster in Dorchester and we hired Marty as a special education teacher. He was kind, patient, and creative while working with some very challenging students. I recall the special programs and partnerships he created for his students to give them more opportunities to grow. I grew to appreciate Marty's ideas and suggestions. It was clear to me that he brought a lot of experience and wisdom. He was much more than a teacher. A thinker and a fine human being.
