Obituary of Richard Dodge Sr.

Richard Dodge, Sr., 83, of Woburn, sadly passed away on January 6, 2021. He was the loving husband of Mary Dodge. Born November 11, 1937 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Willard, and the late Elizabeth Dodge. Richard was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed. He served in the US Army overseas in Germany for several years. He had a passion for antiques and enjoyed yard saling and the flea market and had a thirst for knowledge that stayed with him to the end. Richard enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, swimming in his pool, boating, trips to Disney World with his grandchildren or flying with his granddaughter Deidre. He was always up for an adventure. The way he touched and cared for his family will never be forgotten and he will be forever loved and missed. In addition to his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Mary; Richard is survived by one daughter, Linda McDade and her husband James McDade Jr; and one son, Richard Dodge Jr. He is also survived by six grandchildren, James McDade III, Genevieve Divanefendic, Davis Dodge, Darien Dodge, Christopher McDade, and Deidre Dodge; and five great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Friday, January 8 from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, 450 Calef Rd., Manchester, NH on Saturday, January 9 at 11:30 am. Per current Covid-19 restrictions, we kindly ask that that everyone in attendance wear a face covering, and observe social distancing guidelines.
