Obituary of George P. Clement
George Paul Clement, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away on Thursday morning, June 6, 2024. He was 72 years of age.
Born on August 13, 1951 in Woburn, he was the son of the late Paul, and the late Claudine (Johnson) Clement. George attended the Berry School in North Reading, and proudly worked for the US Postal Service for 40 years.
George was interested in traveling; and had taken trips to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Alaska and Las Vegas. He loved to walk; especially to Woburn Square for coffee, to engage in conversation with his neighbors, and to buy lottery tickets.
George was proud of his Scandinavian heritage, and his connection to relatives who had been on the Titanic. Always happy, with a smile on his face, he was interested in local events and everything family. George also had an amazing recall of dates for any and all occasions.
With declining health in the last few years, George moved from independent living to the Aberjona Nursing Center where he died quietly in his sleep.
George is survived by his two brothers, Warren Clement of Laconia, and Albert Clement of Woburn; and he was preceded in death by one brother, the late Robert Clement. George loved being an uncle to his three nieces and nephew Emily, Jane, Eric and Ashley, and the 3 greats, Amalia, Emily, and Miles.
An hour of visitation will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Wednesday, June 12 from 10:00-11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
