Obituary of A. Everett Annis
A. Everett Annis, 89, of Westbrook, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was the loving husband of 63 years of Carol (Nordstrom) Annis.
Born in Boston and raised in Braintree, MA, he was the son of the late Harvey Annis and the late Helen (Belyea) Annis. Everett graduated from the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph. He was active in the deaf community with deaf organizations.
Everett worked for the United States Postal Service in Boston, retiring in 1999. Following his retirement, Everett and Carol retired to Maine. He enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking, drawing, painting, traveling, playing cribbage and socializing with friends. Most of all, Everett loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Carol, Everett is survived by two sons, Paul Annis and his wife Kathy of Weymouth, MA, and Robert Annis and his wife Candy of Rockford, Michigan, and one daughter, Ruthie Annis of Quincy, MA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Brittne Lynn and her husband Michael, Stephen Annis and his wife Kat, James Andan and his wife Qathy, Christopher McKee and his wife Sara, and Caitlyn Williams and her husband Nick. Everett is further survived by six great grandchildren, Eloise, Mireille, Guinevere, Peyton, Landon, and Owen; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn, MA on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 10:00-12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn, MA
