Obituary of Michael J. Dion

Michael James Dion of Wilmington, formerly of Malden, passed away at Lahey Hospital in Burlington on September 11, 2023. He was 79 years old. Michael was born in Somerville, MA on January 18, 1944, the son of the late Leo Dion and Olga P. Daley. Mike served his country in the U.S. Army for 10 years and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was an excellent cook and served in that industry most of his career culminating as a food manager for the Stop & Shop stores. Two of his passions were playing Keeno and watching the Phantom Gourmet. Michael was the brother of Marie Soda of Burlington and Edward Dion of Swampscott and father of Billy Curtis of South Carolina. Loving uncle of 5 nieces, 3 nephews and two cousins. A Funeral Service with military honors will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd. (Cor. of Pleasant St.) Woburn on Wednesday, September 20 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday Sept. 19 from 4-7 PM. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Greater Boston Food Bank. my.gbfb.org
