Obituary of Richard H. Packard
Richard H. “Dick” Packard, 82, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away at his home on Saturday afternoon, June 17. He was the loving husband of the late Mary J. (Spinazola) Packard who passed away just two months ago.
Born and raised in Woburn, he was the son of the late Richard O. Packard, and the late Agnes (Anderson) Packard Wheaton. Dick had worked for a time as a bus driver for the MBTA, and later as a night security officer at MIT.

Dick was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and had also helped out with Woburn Youth Soccer. He will be remembered as a kind and friendly man, and a devoted and loving husband to his late wife Mary.
Dick is survived by four sons and a daughter; Richard "Chola" Packard and his companion Mary Fitzgerald of Woburn, Paul Ferguson Packard and his wife Leslie of Sandy River Plantation, Maine, Susan Gauthier and her husband Mark of Danvers, Derek Packard and his wife Renee of Tewksbury, and Marc Packard and his wife Rachelle of Woburn. Dick is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
