Virginia better known in our house as Auntie Ginny & her loving husband Tony, were our beloved neighbors and friends for so many years. Ginny was a surrogate local grandma to our boys, Nicholas and Christopher. We so enjoyed popping over for tea and chats and to catch up on her news. She so loved and was so proud of her family telling us all the latest updates about her kids, grandkids and then great grandchild! She also was so happy to help the needy by knitting scarves to keep them warm. Nicholas was so very lucky to have received one of her blankets when he was a baby. She was thrilled to see it again and repair it for Nicholas's baby and then made a beautiful pink one for his daughter. During the years, Ron and the boys, with their tool boxes in hand, would often go over to help her by fixing appliances and whatever else was needed. She was always so appreciative. Ron and all of us loved receiving her Rabbit ear cookies as payment. She was so sweet to share the recipe in the Dallin cookbook but despite many attempts, no one could match the way she made them! She had a special baker's touch! She loved cooking all sorts of Italian specialties too that we got to try over the years. We felt like we were part of her family! Our very deepest sympathies to her beautiful family! Her legacy will continue through all of them. At our last time together, she said she would so miss her family, but we are all the ones that will so miss her! The world lost a very special person. Our beloved memories with her will be forever in our hearts!
All our Love, Karen, Ron, Nicholas & Christopher Coleman

To the entire Gimilaro Family,
Mrs. Gimilaro was a very special woman. I first met her when I had two of her children as students at the Dallin School. Of course, I will always remember her kindness and her love of her entire family. Oh that gorgeous smile! Whenever I saw her, it was like I had seen her recently...not that time had passed.
I send you all my heartfelt condolences. May her memory be a blessing
Love and hugs to all,
Lauren Reiner Jastremski

I am so sorry to hear about Ginny's passing. She was loved and adored by those of us on Waverley St. Her Italian cookies and the incredible conversations are treasured. When she moved, it wasn't the same on the block. She was another granny-type to me growing up and I loved her very much. My heart goes out to all of her relatives. Now she is reunited with her love, Tony. (Miss him greatly, too!) May they be forever at peace. Love and hugs, Lauren (Feinberg) Lichtel
