Obituary of Nancy B. Andreason
Nancy (Beckman) Andreason, 87, of Reading, passed away at her home on Monday, May 29. She was the wife of the late Dr. Paul F. Andreason who died in 2019.
Born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin, Nancy was the only child of the late Bernard, and the late Marion Beckman.
As a young lady, Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse. She received her training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and then later worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital as an Operating Room Nurse.
Nancy and her late husband Paul came to Reading in 1964, and she left nursing for a time to devote her time raising her young family. She returned to nursing on a part-time basis at several area nursing homes until her retirement in the 1980s.
Nancy had a love for dogs, and always had them as pets throughout her life. She also enjoyed maintaining a large garden at her home. But most of all, Nancy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her late husband, Dr. Paul W. Andreason. She is survived by her two sons, Paul Andreason of Fitchburg, and Gary Andreason of Newark, DE. She is also survived by three grandchildren, David Miffitt of Chelmsford, Steven Andreason of Middletown, Delaware, and Elizabeth Andreason of Newark, Delaware; and two great grandchildren, Kasir and Kinsley Andreason.
Visitation will be at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Monday, June 5 from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a Graveside Service at the Wood End Cemetery in Reading at 11:30 am.
