My mother was a Jolly Elder at the West Somerville Baptist Church many years ago. I knew Joan during those years and many years prior to that time when we were in Sunday School together. Joan was wonderful when a leader of the Jolly Elders. The members of the group loved her very much. God bless you for your many years of devotion you gave to them. Rest in peace, Joan.

Joan was always a very dear friend to me. We worked together on many committees during our church years and Joan was a constant reminder of what a woman doing God's work should look like. Her heart was loving and giving with a strong conviction to doing things the right way. She adored her family and always talked about her dear friends and Shriner Dad and her attachment and loving work she did for the Shriners. Joan was a kind soul and I will miss her always.
