Obituary of Alice G. Hiltz

Alice G. Hiltz, 96, of Woburn, passed away at the Winchester Nursing Center on Monday evening, November 7. She was the wife of the late Loren E. Hiltz. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late James, and the late Elizabeth Gray. Alice worked as a manager of the Homestead Motor Lodge in Cambridge prior to her retirement. She made her home in Burlington, and then moved to Largo, Florida to care for her elderly aunt. After the death of her husband Loren, Alice moved back to Woburn to be close with her family. Alice loved spending time at the racetrack, and she enjoyed trying her luck playing the lottery. Alice is survived by her son, Douglas P. Hiltz and his wife Virginia Hiltz of Woburn. She was the grandmother of Cynthia Bradley, Brian Hiltz, Nicole Hiltz, and the late Nanci Hiltz Lescard; and she was great grandmother of John IV, Sean, Madyson, Braedyn, Kayla, Brandon, Brianna, and the late Brian, Jr. She is also survived by her longtime caregiver, David Perry. A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Monday, November 14 at 11:00 am. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
