Obituary of Robert J. Hogan
Robert J. Hogan, 76, of Lowell, formerly of Woburn, passed away on Wednesday September 21st with his loving wife of almost 49 years by his side at Bear Mountain Nursing Home in Andover.
Born and raised in Woburn, he was the son of the late Robert F., And the late Ellen Virginia (Borgeson) Hogan. Soon after graduation, Bobby enlisted in the Navy. He was stationed at the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. He earned his Honorable Discharge in 1967.
After serving his country, Bobby started working at Donovan’s Plating in Woburn. While working there, he me the love of his life Maureen. They married on Oct 20, 1974. Bobby and Maureen loved traveling to New Hampshire, and to the Cape on vacation.
Bobby was the beloved husband of Maureen (Carney) Hogan. He is also survived by his brother Ted Hogan of Woburn; and his sister Marcia (Hogan) Schell and her husband Daniel Schell of Wilmington; and he was also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with seven great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Thursday, October 6 at 12:30 pm. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 11:00 am-12:30 pm. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn. Contributions in Bobby’s memory may be made to the Compassus Living Foundation, 503 N.
