Obituary of Theodore Mourousas

Theodore “Ted” Mourousas, 81, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital on Wednesday evening, May 4. He was the loving husband of the late Grace (Larkin) Mourousas. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late George, and the late Bessie Mourousas. Ted was a graduate of Cambridge Latin School. In his younger years, He enjoyed boxing. Ted was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era, earning his Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Prior to his retirement, Ted owned and operated Pro Coating in Woburn for over 20 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed many hunting trips up North with his friends. Ted and his late wife Grace enjoyed traveling, and he loved his German Shepherd dogs. Ted is survived by five children, Mercene Tavares of Woburn, Ted G. Mourousas of Woburn, Linda (Perry) Flynn of Maine, Ed Perry of Woburn, and Helen (Perry) Comeau of Fitchburg. He was the brother of Mercene (Mourousas) Loughman of Woburn, the late Mary (Mourousas) Moscaritolo, and the late Thomas Mourousas. He is also survived by many grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave. in Bourne on Tuesday, May 17 at 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Ste. 2, Norwood, MA 02062. Arrangements by the Graham Funeral Home, Woburn.
