Obituary of Helen (Marion) Essigmann
Helen (Marion) Essigmann, 98, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, December 25. She was the wife of the late John W. Essigmann.
Born on the family farm in Woburn, she was one of seven children of the late John, and the late Bertha (Dean) Marion. In her younger years, Helen worked as a nanny, later concentrating on raising her own family.
She loved playing bingo, knitting, and spending time at the family vacation home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Helen was devoted to her family, who meant the world to her.
Helen is survived by one son, John W. Essigmann, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of North Port, Florida; and four daughters, Sybil Wilson of Woburn, Wendy Essigmann of Woburn, Ann Essigmann of Woburn, Pamela DeSouza and her late husband Brian of Phoenix, Arizona; and she was preceded in death by one daughter, the late Judy Brown and her late husband Richard. Helen was the sister of Horace Marion of Louisville, Kentucky, Richard Marion of Corvallis, Oregon, the late Frank Marion, the late John Marion, the late Dorothy Crawford, and the late Calvin Marion. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren who she adored.
