Obituary of David E. Majeski

David E. Majeski, 84, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away Thursday morning, December 16, 2021. He was the husband of the late Nora “Nuala” (O’Grady) Majeski who died in 2007. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Roman and Margaret (Charlton) Majeski. David was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1955-1959. Prior to his retirement, David worked in the printing industry, a trade he learned from his father. David comes from a large extended family of Majeski’s, and each year they gather to celebrate their heritage. This annual event became known as the “Polish Picnic” which started over forty-seven years ago. It was started by David and two of his cousins, Joanne and Barbara becoming an annual reunion. David always looked forward to this event to reminisce with family and spend time with those he loved. Most recently, he took on the role of the family Patriarch, but due to declining health he was unable to attend recent celebrations. He always enjoyed spending time with family. David was the father of David T. Majeski of Brookline, NH, Diana (Majeski) Nicholls and her husband Thomas of Stratham, NH, Lara (Majeski) Baker and her husband Carl of Woburn, MA, Deirdre (Majeski) Dziuba and her husband Jason of Salem, MA, the late Karen (Majeski) Malfitano and her husband Stephen of Tucson, AZ, and the late Kenneth R. Majeski. David was the grandfather of Jason, Kelsey and Katrina Malfitano, Emma, Lara and Ava Nicholls, Damon and Shane Dziuba and Tiffany Robicheau. He was the brother of Peter Majeski and his wife Jeanne of Arlington MA and sister Margaret A Majeski. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family here in the states and in Ireland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn on Thursday, December 23 at 11:30 am. Face coverings are required. Burial will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
